Tobacco Road Golf Club

Featuring Martha Hudson

Nestled neatly in the Sandhills region just outside the Village of Pinehurst in North Carolina, Tobacco Road Golf Club, boasts a polarizing design by Mike Strantz. The course has accumulated its fair share of accolades since opening in 1998 and yet remains a true test of a player’s eye, determination, and wits.

Martha Hudson is the Director of Brand Marketing and Retail at Tobacco Road Golf Club. In 13 years working in the golf industry she has played multiple roles including the last 4 years as the head professional at Tobacco Road. Her new role is slightly more behind the scenes, and among other duties, she is building the brand experience for one of the coolest tracks on the east coast.

On a 415-acre tract of swampland in northeast Florida, the history of golf would be altered forever. On that site, ground was broken for what would become THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. Opening in 1980, THE PLAYERS Stadium was built to challenge the pros like no other golf course had done before, while providing an unprecedented experience for spectators at the same time. Renowned architect Pete Dye began to scribble on a placemat drawing out the makings of a course. The rest is history.

014 – Chambers Bay (feat. Zac Keener)

With tawny fescue grasses, towering sand dunes, massive fairways, and breathtaking views of the Puget Sound and snow-capped Olympic Mountains, Chambers Bay brings the traditions of Scottish linksland to the Pacific Northwest. Some of golf’s great championships have been decided on these fairways and greens. Located in University Place, Washington, this 18-hole, walking-only golf course provides an authentic links experience for players of every ability. This bucket list 18-hole championship golf course will deliver a world class experience for every golfer on your buddy trip!

007 – Erin Hills (feat. Rich Tock)

Erin Hills is a course like none other — routed over the kettle moraine areas left by glaciers, surrounded by wetlands and a river, on ground that consists of glacial till of varied composition of sand and small rock. It was an unconventional decision for a golf course in Wisconsin. The course was designed to accommodate the 2017 U.S. Open, in terms of both the challenge to the players and the logistics of the spectators.
