Our 2020 “Ryder Cup Takeover” trip was such a hit, we immediately planned a return trip two years later. Once again, we invited groups from all over the country to bring their buddy golf trip to Destination Kohler, the home of Whistling Straits. We hosted 32 golfers for an unforgettable bucket-list golf weekend in Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan and the Sheboygan River. 

Not only did we play the Pete Dye masterpiece Straits course where Team USA defeated Team Europe the year before, but also the Irish course at Whistling Straits, along with the River Course and the brand new Baths at Blackwolf Run short course. Oh, and we stayed an extra day to play Erin Hills!

The lodging and the food were just as excellent as the golf. We stayed right on property at the Inn at Woodlake with easy shuttle service to all of the golf courses. We feasted at The Horse & Plow and enjoyed football and games at the Kohler Swing Studio, a two minute walk from our rooms.

Our last day and night was spent at Erin Hills, which hosted the 2017 U.S. Open. We took pictures with the trophy before teeing off and then finished our round in a beautiful sunset. We spent the night onsite at the Lodge where we had access to the fire pits and the lighted Drumlin putting course. The putting games carried on well past midnight!

It was another fantastic trip, carefully curated by us so all the groups could just show up and enjoy the trip with their buddies. Look for us to return to Kohler again in 2025!
