"Ryder Cup Take-Over" at Destination Kohler and Erin Hills
September 2020
When the 2020 Ryder Cup event was postponed due to Covid-19 reasons, TripCaddie was there to support Kohler in an effort to fill the rounds and rooms in short order by arranging an amazing Fall golf trip experience for 40 guests!
“We played when they couldn’t” was our mantra as 7 groups of buddies arrived from 8 states in a socially distanced gathering playing all 4 courses, including the Straits course the day the Ryder Cup’s Single’s Matches were scheduled to play, over 4 days. We even worked with Erin Hills to play there as a kicker to the exciting trip. The Fall is an absolute perfect time to visit Wisconsin for golf at Destination Kohler and/or Erin Hills. Thousands of salmon were running in the Sheboygan River that winded through the River course at Kohler which made an interesting spectacle for golfers as they navigated the course.
As it turned out, the original Ryder Cup trophy was on site at Kohler for some media exposure and made an appearance at our Welcome Reception. It was awesome as our groups got to get a photo with it and have a look up close. Not to be outdone, Erin Hills brought out their 2017 US Open trophy exact replica (the original won by Brooks Koepka) for guests to enjoy a photo!
Not only did our groups have an amazing experience at a great value in Wisconsin, but Kohler appreciated the help to fill the course in a two-week sold out process.
